Dreaming Galaxy

Inspiration

The original idea was to create spheres of different colors moving more or less in circle. Unfortunately, it didn't look really good, so I decided to modify my program to really use the 3D space and make it look cooler. I also found that having a completely different color for each sphere wasn't the best decision of my life. Therefore, I modified my code to make all the spheres a greyish white and only colored the lines around the spheres in pastel colors. Also, while messing around, I added tori around my spheres and made them rotate together. Because I liked how it looked, I decided to keep them. I decided to only make my spheres change size and keep the tori the way they were. Another thing I did in this project is making it interactive. It's not much, but when you pay attention, you can notice that the light comes from the mouse. depending on the position of the mouse, the light is not the same. Also, if you keep your mouse clicked and move it around, the perspective changes. It can be hard to see because the spheres are moving at the same time, but it is still noticable and I find it nice :)

Improvements

I really like the final result of this artwork, especially since it was my first time working in 3D with p5.js, but there are some things I would like to improve. First, the music isn't mine and, as much as I like it, I would love to make this project more personal by creating or simply modifying a music. Or at least find a way to integrate it better with the visual.
Another thing I would like to learn more about is the lines on the spheres and if it is possible to reduce or augment their number. I think it could be nice on this project to have more diversity among the spheres and it would be a good way to play with the colors too.
