Path of Color

Inspiration

I created this artwork to represent that life is not a linear path and thata, sometimes you end up somewhere you never expected to be. It was inspired from my own experience, from what I believed I would become and where I am now. In this project, there are elements that can be changed by the viewer, on purpose, and other modification that happen throught an evolution of the artwork on it's own. It's a way of saying that some changes will happen because of a decision of the person while other changes will naturally happen over time. Tohave both, I created curves that move in an unpredictable way and colors that will slightly change even without the viewers interaction. For the interactive part, the colors change depending on the coordinates of the mouse. Also, it is possible to change the intersection of the lines by clicking. Finally, it is possible to change the color of the background to the color of one set of curves by using the arrow keys.

Improvements

I am very satisfied of the result of this project so I don't have much ideas to improve it. Of course, the sound could be worked on a little bit more, but overall, I am happy of the result. On thing I am thinking about is that it could be nice to make it a 3D work. But that's just a potential idea, not an obvious improvement.
