Magic Waves

Inspiration

Magic wave is the name of a project I coded on p5.js. Contrarily to most of my projects, this artwork is not an interactive one. For this work, I was inspired by ocean waves that have a calming effect on me. I love the smooth movement of the waves before dying on the beach. It is this idea that drove me to create curves that would move across the screen before bumping against the sides of the canvas. I also wanted to add a more unpredictable element in my work and decided to use colors to make my work change. As you can see when you look at the project, each curve, when it bumps in the border of the canvas makes every curve change to a random color.

Improvements

I believe there is always room to improve what we do so there are some things that I think I could improve in this artwork (if I find some time to do so, of course...). The most important thing I should do is to add sound. It would be nice to have some sound and not only a visual. Honestly, music or sound in projects is always the thing I have the most difficulty with. I like creating nice looking things, but when it comes to sound... well... I am not the best, let's put it that way.
Another thing I think I could improve is the interactivity of this program. I like to make things interactive for the viewers because it can be more fun and they have the option to change a few details to suit their taste better or just to have fun.
